Dystany Spurlock Plans Jump to the NHRA as Pro Stock Motorcycle Team Owner
[Richmond, VA, March 24, 2023] - Trailblazing motorcycle drag racer Dystany Spurlock is set to break ground as an owner and racer in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). Spurlock's newly established team will compete in the prestigious NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class, showcasing her commitment to compete at the highest level of the sport and push boundaries in motorsports.
Spurlock, a talented racer with numerous races and records under her belt, has long been a role model for young women and aspiring racers. With this move, she expands her impact in the predominantly male-dominated sport.
"Racing in the NHRA has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. It's still unreal that I will start racing on the highest level of our sport," said Dystany Spurlock. "But to do it as a team owner was beyond my wildest dreams."
The team plans on debuting in the 2024 NHRA Gator Nationals, and Dystany will ride her Eric Buell Racing Pro Stock Motorcycle. However, the team still seeks partnerships and funding to run the entire 2024 season.
